CWC Gaming were one of the first live casino software providers on the market. At the time they came out in 2003 they were the cutting edge in technology. This allowed them to rapidly acquire business from a large number of operators, including from some of the the industry’s largest like Ladbrokes.
Unfortunately for them, their time at the top was short lived. Due to a lack of re-investment into their technology, their software was quickly surpassed by other brands include Evolution Gaming and Global Gaming Labs. These companies ended up seeing over 25 brands move to their platforms and away from CWC.
To add insult to injury, the company suffered the devastating and tragic loss of their CEO.
They were at a low point after that losing further licensees due to dealers who were out of control. Heavy accents, unprofessional behavior and other incidents marred this company.
Recently CWC moved to a new building, fired most of their dealers, acquired a high end manager and launched new mini games in a bid to stay competitive. It worked quite well, as we believe these actions have drastically improved their operation. But, in our opinion, it was not enough to become truly competitive with some of the industry’s better providers.
Overall, CWC Gaming is a decent option for US facing operations. However, there are better alternatives out there, which will not only have better technology, but lower royalties and integration fees.
